Holiday Apartment

This apartment sleeps a family/group of 5.  Located in Riga the capital city of Latvia.  This is a traditional one room apartment, it has fold out beds which double as settees during the day.  This is how it's done in most of the old Soviet Block.  They are built for this daily use and very comfortable and quick to use.  The apartment has been stripped and totally refurbished with new bathroom, shower and kitchen.  You have a steel security door and steel shutters on the windows to secure the premises when you are out.  You will be living with the very friendly local people.

Take a bus just outside the apartment, a 15 minute bus ride (20p) later you are in the very heart of the town centre.  Riga is a city akin to Prague and Amsterdam.   Here you can immerse your family in the cafe culture of Europe.  You can sit in a historic cafe, select a cake to die for and have a cup of coffee so delicious it must have been made by an angel.  All this for less than a pound per person.  A family of four can eat in a reasonable restaurant, with starters and desert for less than £20 and that is with some drinks.  Go local for a pound per head per meal.

Go to the Opera, for less than ten pounds you will sit in the best seats.  Seats that would cost you more than the price of this holiday in London.  How about the Ballet where a similar situation applies.  If your children want night life there are night clubs and discos in the town centre.  A taxi home will cost less than the bus at home.  There are night clubs in abundance for the mature, which are classy and affordable.  

This is a city not yet on the regular tourist trail.

We can arrange for you to be collected from the airport and or dropped off there at the end of your holiday.  For an extra charge of £15 each way.

When you arrive the flat will be spotlessly clean.  There will be tea, coffee and milk waiting for you, with our compliments.

We do not charge extra for school holidays.  One flat price through  out the year.   You will be dealing with professional people just seeking to cover the costs of their holiday home.

Why not take a week, mid winter.  The snow is deep, the air is crisp.  The city is open, life goes on.  Just sit in a warm cafe and watch.

We love it there we know you will to.  

Travel to Latvia:
Air, book in advance and it's not too bad, cheaper airlines are starting to move in.  Coach, 24 hours.  Drive, 24 hours, there are plenty of secure parking places near to the apartment, very low cost.
