Anger Management
The "Anger Management"
pack is a comprehensive how to guide aimed at training children how to manage their
anger. It takes as an assumption that anger is a normal and healthy
reaction. However, some people just haven't understood that there are
different degrees of anger and each culture will have an appropriate level of
anger in a given context. For instance if a child was unfortunate enough
to witness their parent being attacked it would be quite appropriate for them to
be very angry and hit the attacker with a stick, very hard. The same level
of anger and reaction is inappropriate if the offence is of a much lower level,
being sworn at in the playground for instance. The whole thrust of the
work is to help the children in the group readjust their responses in line with
the prevailing cultural norms.
Contains details of a ten week programme, plus theoretical background information.
Approximately 35 pages.
